PLANT
The prairie fire pepper belongs to the Capsicum Chinense family. It is a very compact plant with small leaves, suitable for pot and border cultivation. It produces a large number of small conical, upright fruits, 2-3 cm long, varying in colour from green to yellow, orange, red and purple depending on the stage of ripeness. The chillies are very hot, reaching up to 95,000 Scoville units.
CULTIVATION
To cultivate the prairie fire pepper, it should be borne in mind that it is a pepper that prefers a hot and humid climate, similar to a tropical climate. Water as needed.
COLLECTION
Once it has reached maturity, it is detached from the plant throughout the summer.
USES IN THE KITCHEN
In the kitchen, it is recommended with braised meats and game.
