PLANT
Habanero Red Savina is a chilli pepper cultivar of the Capsicum chinense species, also known in Guyana as Dominican Devil's Tongue Pepper or Ball of Fire Pepper.
It has been protected by the Plant Variety Protection act since 1993.
The Red Savina is a plant that can reach a height of 60 to 90 cm. The fruits are pendulous, have a characteristic pointed shape, 5 to 7 cm long and 2 to 4 cm wide, green turning bright red when ripe. The fruits ripen late in the season.
The high spiciness achieved in the Guinness measurement has never been reached again, with subsequent measurements reporting values of 250,000 SHU.h3>COLTIFICATION
COLLECTION
Once it has reached maturity, it is detached from the plant throughout the summer.
USES IN THE KITCHEN
In the kitchen, it is recommended with braised meats and game.
