PLANT
The White Habanero is one of the hottest chillies and belongs to the Capsicum Chinense family. It averages between 200,000 and 300,000 SHU (Scoville Units) on the Scoville Scale. By comparison, the classic Calabrian hot pepper corresponds to about 15,000 SHU on the scale. The state where the habanero is most widely cultivated is Mexico, where it is grown in Yucatan, from which 1,500 tonnes of habanero are now exported annually. The habanero pepper almost always has a lantern shape (with the exception of some varieties, such as the White Bullet habanero), which can have an elongated tip in a conical or recurved shape.
CULTIVATION
When cultivating hot peppers, it should be borne in mind that they prefer a hot and humid climate, similar to a tropical climate. Water as needed.
COLLECTION
Once it has reached maturity, it is detached from the plant throughout the summer.
