PLANT
Capsicum annuum variety originating from Indonesia. It is a Cayenne hybridised F1 pepper. Its name comes from the famous volcano on the island of Rakata, Krakatau in Indonesian. A medium-sized ornamental and edible plant, it is very robust and upright. It is suitable for cultivation both in pots and in the ground. It reaches a height of 40 cm and a width of 30 cm. It has a very dense foliage with dark green, elongated leaves. It is compact and produces medium-sized fruits, 2 to 4 cm, which grow upwards, close together to form clusters. As they ripen, they change their colour from green to red. They have a fruity flavour. They can be eaten fresh or dried and ground. Low spiciness, 5,000 - 15,000 SHU.
CULTIVATION
When cultivating hot peppers, it should be borne in mind that they prefer a hot and humid climate, similar to a tropical climate. Water as needed.
COLLECTION
Once it has reached maturity, it is detached from the plant throughout the summer.
USES IN THE KITCHEN
In the kitchen, it is recommended with braised meats and game.
