PLANT

The Philodendron Laciniatum or Philodendron Pedatum plant has large green leaves and red petioles. Native to Venezuela and Brazil, this Philodendron is often confused with other Philodendrons when young.

The name Philodendron comes from the Greek word phileo, meaning 'to love' and dendron meaning 'tree'. The name refers to the Philodendron's love of 'climbing' towards the sky.

CULTIVATION

The Philodendron Laciniatum plant prefers bright light but not direct sunlight as it can burn the leaves.
If your window has direct sunlight, place the plant a little further away from the window so that their light source is bright but indirect.
The Philodendron tolerates lower light levels, but will not thrive.
Since Philodendron Laciniatum comes from the tropical jungles of South America, it thrives in humid conditions.
