PLANT

The White Strawberry Marablanca is a uniform strawberry variety, i.e. it produces fruit only once a year, and is not a re-flowering variety. It is a small perennial plant, flowering in spring and producing fruit in early summer. Marablanca is prized for its sweet, low-sour flavour with a distinctive aroma. 

FRUIT

Good taste quality, sugary, low acidity, strong aroma. Regular large-sized fruit (25/30 g average weight).
White and red colour. Firm flesh.

PROPERTIES

First of all, it has a very high antioxidant power that is 20 times higher than that of other foods and a rich vitamin C content compared to citrus fruits, which is why the strawberry ranks high in the USDA's special list of foods that keep you young. But that's not all: it is also rich in calcium, iron and magnesium and is recommended for sufferers of rheumatism and colds. It is also particularly good for fighting cholesterol. The strawberry also has a high phosphorus content and is used for its laxative, diuretic and depurative properties. Strawberries are also good sources of ellagic acid, which is an effective anti-cancer. They are also refreshing, diuretic, depurative and detoxifying. Finally, they contain xylitol, a sweet substance that prevents the formation of dental plaque and kills the germs responsible for bad breath.

POSITION

Prefers sunny areas. Withstands drought well.
